Installation failed! ERROR: version.txt not found

Hi. I’m trying to install the SCT, and installed the ver 3.0 zip file.
When I launch the install_sct, terminal shows “ERROR: version.txt not found.
The install_sct script must be executed from the source directory”
version.txt exists in spinalcordtoolbox directry.
I’m stucked now.
Could you please how to solve this error.

Hi @amijas,

Thank you for reaching out! First of all, I would recommend to install the latest version instead (currently 5.3.0): https://github.com/spinalcordtoolbox/spinalcordtoolbox/releases/tag/5.3.0

Could you please try with that version, and if it does not work, please copy/paste your entire Terminal output (not just the error message) so we can figure out what the problem is.
