Hello!
I was trying to install SCT version 6.1 (no prior versions installed before) and the installation failed after showing “Error: command failed”.
My terminal input command was bash install_sct-6.1_macos.sh after downloading the file and navigating to the folder.
System is a MacBook Air, Apple M2, Sonoma 14.0. I checked that gcc was installed first and it was.
The log file for the installation is attached.

My apologies for the error. Thankfully, this error is well-known, and we have a fix for it. Just run the following command in your terminal:
softwareupdate --install-rosetta
An explanation for this command can be found here: If you need to install Rosetta on your Mac - Apple Support (CA)
We also have a plan to improve our documentation and installer script to make it clear that Rosetta is needed, to avoid this issue in the future.
